comprises a handful of endeavors that all fall under The Great House Project umbrella. In time there will be more projects than Veatch House Woodworking and Veatch House Drones, but for now this will be the focus .

Christopher & Erin

These two crazy humans have been making a go of it together for nearly two decades. At the end of 2024 they bought a house on an in-town acreage. Apparently it sits on a hectare of land. The house is bordered on three side by a creek and these two share the property with a plethora of deer, a grumpy ground hog, streaky squirrels, raccoons, rabbits galore, foxes and coyotes, a opossum or two, frogs, toads, and fish. Probably a bunch of animals they have forgotten (or haven’t encountered yet) and at least fifty-nine species of birds.

They have named the house The Veatch House. You can read why here: The Veatch House: A Tribute. This house is a split level build into a hill. Any basement would be below the water table so is strictly imaginary. There is a 270 square workshop where Christopher plans to do his woodworking.

The DNR identified nine species of trees on the property and there are for sure some that have been found since their visit. We have black walnut, elm, bur oak and regular oak, white poplar, bitter nut hickory, catalpa, cotton wood, and various flavors of evergreen.
